Just what you’ve been waiting for…your very own scarab logo T-Shirt from Discology…in stock and ready to wear. There are two variations of the shirt with the first having the Discology name on the front and the large scarab on the back. The other is the Scarab on the front and the Discology name on the back but up at the collar. These are black 100% cotton T’s with white lettering/logos. Be the first on your block to own one and support a local independent CD store at the same time for only $18 plus tax. And remember- black is always the best color to wear in the Summer months and at concerts.

Discology is scaling back the store hours for a few weeks which only affect the weekday open times. Instead of 10:00am, we will be opening at 1:00pm.

Special Orders are increasing with every week that passes; new releases, imports, and new release vinyl are growing so much so that we are expanding our “New” section as well. If you are aware of a new CD that is coming out soon, then don’t hesitate to call or come by and order one for yourself or a friend. And remember that if a birthday or Father’s Day is coming up on your calendar, then a Gift Card is sometimes the best gift–especially if it can be redeemed later on the new release or special order that isn’t out quite yet.

We thank you for your continued support and appreciate your business.

Stop by Discology for opening night of a photography exhibition featturing selected works by Kristin Rosenqvist. This special show will be exhibiting two series of works. The reception for the month long show is Friday, June 1st, from 6-9pm. Come meet the artist while enjoying an assortment of food & drinks.

This Saturday, May 19th, Discology will host Joel Ackerson in concert at 5:00pm. Please come out to support this amazing artist as he performs songs from his new CD “Happy Songs for the Broken Hearted”. This is a rare opportunity to see Joel play live– aside from his appearances with the lovely Kate Cotter. For those whom don’t already own it, Joel’s CD will also be available for purchase at the show.
We look forward to seeing you there,
David

Discology is located above the Satellite Lounge and Blue Moon Pizza on the corner of California Ave. and Plumas St. The entrance is on the West side of the building. Please call 775-323-2121 for directions or check out the map under the “About” tab.

Discology is pleased to announce the very sophisticated and sexy bill of Kung Fu Sophie and Neil Greene. Each will be playing their own sets as well as helping each other out on each others’ songs. This is going to be a semi-acoustic or semi-electric show depending on your leanings, but it will all definitely happen on Saturday, May 5th at 5pm. There is even a rumour that a drummer will be sitting in for this show. So come out and support two of Reno’s finest musicians– we look forward to seeing you there!

Neil Greene will be performing tomorrow at 5:00pm in support of his new CD: Taxidermy. Please come by and support Neil as he plays songs from his new album acoustically. Neil’s CD is available for purchase on the Local Artist Listening Station.

The newest exhibit features the visually and olfactorily pleasing work of Deborah Esenarro. Please come by the store and see her work on display on any of the six days that we are open.
